my darling boyfriend and i were invited to a 1920's themed murder mystery dinner. sadly i have to work, but what a splendid excuse to dress up! here are some of the fun things i found - of course leading me full-circle to The Brinkley Girls, my favorite new book - i picked up my copy at the geek-chic Fantagraphics in georgetown. click images all for links, especially note the beautiful etsy pieces - the ostrich clutch and peacock clutch - support an artist. stay tuned for the men's edition...
The peacock clutch is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI think I must get a copy of The Brinkley Girls! Thanks for calling my attention to it!

cindy - the blue lining is such a luxurious detail! and esther - it is a MUST coffee table or fashion history book. so much useful information and images - a great look into the teens though thirties in particular.
ReplyDeleteI love the clutch and have a co-worker who would adore it. Too bad it's out of the office giving price range. Fortunately, your post did help me think of other peacock etsy gifts to give.
